Dare to Write The Darkness:

Why should anyone suppress it? There is comfort in time; things which lighten a load. Today, just this morning, I realized my one of my singular gifts.

And, then I dared to write it.

It doesn't take much to make me happy:

1. Being satisfied with a few well-placed words.

2. One hour of quiet.

3. Having respect for the words of others and expecting the same in return.

4. Remembering the "good" memories.

5. Sharing experience and whatever "wisdom" learned.

6. Ending each day knowing you're of value.

"blush" [#1] ~~a fiction.

Posted by Picasa
It was never my intention to embarrass her.Honestly, there are so many reasons one turns a distinct shade of red. If she was completely honest, (as I hope to be) she'd tell you (after-the-fact) that the after-effects of her exposed condition included an orgasm.

Her blush, completely on display, told the tale.

Let's take it from the beginning, shall we? On the day in question, (and, believe me, there's more than a few strong-hearts rooting for a more blushed bottom than she'd received) I was lying by the pool, reading the latest issue of Time magazine~~(I know, you don't believe me, but it's true!.) The sun had just reached its afternoon peak ('bout twelve o'clock ),and if my darling wife were not in the pool at this moment, I dare say, she soon would be.

[to be continued....honest]

The Mother of All Months:

A friend, recently made me aware of a video on YouTube. The video is a fun send-up upon the subject of Motherhood. For me, it brought not only a chuckle, but a deep appreciation of all my own Mother did, and said, as I was growing up.

Admittedly, this is still a difficult month for me. My Mom's Birthday is on the 22nd of May. She's been gone now, since 2005, but there is not a day that has gone by I haven't thought of her.

Thanks, friend,...for the reminder; the good times.

Can't help posting these stupid things! (got that?):

Amongst the many bits of information filling my "inbox," (thereby draining my memory capacity, while massaging my funny bone--tee-hee!) arrived this...Yes, another bloody example of those superficial and utterly trivial bits of flotsom we lovingly refer to as,
"Hey!- Somebody- really- thought- I'd- get- a- kick- out- of- this, -so- they- sent -to- me- in- the- hopes- I'd- send- it- to- someone- else- and- they- in- turn -would- send- it- to- another -memory-draining -dude-(or, dudette)- who'll- find -this- as- funny- as- the- first- guy- did."

Now, in the hope of diffusing (or, deleting) this without opening it..I present this e-mail to you. Enjoy!

Q: I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life; is this true?

A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it... Don't waste them on exercise.

Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's

like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a

Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?

A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are

these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering

vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass

(green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily

allowance of vegetable products.

Q:Should I reduce my alcohol intake?

A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit.

Brandy is distilled wine, that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even

more of the goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain.

Bottoms up! (note: "tee-hee" wink*)

Q:How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?

A: Well, if you have a body and you have fat, your ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies

your ratio is two to one, etc.

Q:What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?

A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain...Good!

Q:Aren't fried foods bad for you?

..... Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil. In fact, they're permeated in it. How could

getting more vegetables be bad for you?

Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle?

A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only be doing

sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?

A: Are you crazy?

Cocoa beans! Another vegetable!!! It's the best feel-good food around!

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?

A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me.

Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle?

A: Hey! 'Round' is a shape!

Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets.

And remember:

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an

attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand -

chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO

HOO, What a Ride'

For those of you who watch what you eat , here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a

relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional studies.

1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

5. The Germans drink a lot of beers and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

Burn Out:

How does one write the unexpressable? I find myself, daring myself to be true; realizing the bridge so difficult to cross. I don't want to inflict harm, and yet at the same time, I know keeping silent only worsens my already fragile exsistence.

Being in the company of my father is beginning to wear on me. Not only is he losing his mind, his memory...he's losing the ability to see those who love him as trustworthy. I'm in a classic struggle~~burning out. He is consistently negative & angry. The passing of my mother put us all in a tail-spin. Now, his children are running from him. Nothing is ever "good enough"..I'm no longer good enough in his eyes.

He screams and shouts irrational things; slams doors; and, jumps down my throat when I try to be helpful. He forgets himself, and does not see the hurt he causes.

There is no getting well. Each week is getting more difficult to care for him. I'm exhausted.

Burnt out.

This one arrived today.
...well. It gave me a chuckle:

The Center for Disease Control has issued a medical alert about a highly contagious, potentially dangerous virus that is transmitted orally, by hand, and even electronically.
This virus is called Weekly Overload Recreational Killer (WORK).
If you receive WORK from your boss, any of your colleagues or anyone else via any means whatsoever - DO NOT TOUCH IT!!! This virus will wipe out your private life entirely. If you should come into contact with WORK you should immediately leave the premises.

Take two good friends to the nearest liquor
store and purchase one or both of the antidotes - Work Isolating Neutralizer Extract (WINE) and Bothersome Employer Elimination Re-booter (BEER). Take the antidote repeatedly until WORK has been completely eliminated from your system.

Three Views of a Nude :

What he was able to capture in her remained solid, and prominent, as a blushed moment of shared space, shared love. She never gave a thought to the Work once it had taken on a life of its own, reeling through galleries, state-by-state. The Model, photographed, became iconic; risen beyond any singular painting, any singular Nude, in the last twenty-five years.

Of course, in her profession she'd never given a thought to being in love with the Artist; whether, she'd been beneath the man's brush, or viewed through his lens, there always was that distance, separating her body from the merely sexual inflections of thought. Never, had she succumbed to the Artist's desirous gaze, or the slow peeling away of her soul, along with her clothes. It was a job, plain and simple.

And, yet, beyond any of her imaginings, it was those three views of her nude; those iconic remnants he'd let loose in the world, which pushed her over the edge. In his eyes she had been pieced, and gone pliant, as one imbued with grace; a touch-up here, bringing out each area of her body, making it central, centering upon the premise of innocence, or embarrassment, or the first flush of love.

Once, he carried her in his heart, the ideal fell away, and the body he'd snapped with his Nikon, breathed something new. His photos, retouched, and brimming in color, began to seem beyond possession.

She was startled by the completion, the end-work. She was feeling weak in her professional stance, her feelings, unarmored and so visibly exposed. She gazed at his creation, seeing herself quite revealed; every, pent-up parcel of passion was there, in the curve of her breasts and the cleft, shadowed, of her pussy; the concentration of reds, falling upon her face and lower body, said it all.

He placed his hand upon the small of her back, guiding her into pose. She stood before a striped back-drop.

Now, long after, review and notices and accolades, they're entwined. She strokes his hair, and brushes her lips against his. The room gives light, dimmed, naturally. His earthy, understated, sexuality, is more than just a vision, a painting, a photograph, or sell.

She rolls on the bed, laughing, in his arms. This entering, and exiting of love, and all its pieces, could set the world on fire. Her sex, her very life, glowed,

A body. A gift. A moment.

If I ever...

...find myself trapped by fate and screaming out to others, [from an Island of my own making] please don't tell me where it's at; don't tell me your authority gives you license to shut me down.
I'll take your time and make it my own.
I'll stop listening to your rants of hatred.
I'll be the voice in the wilderness, happily ever after.

When we stop conversing like two opposing teams

Until then,

Issue # 1 : Health Care Reform...

You gotta build on what you got. It wasn't "socialism" that brought National
Health Service to France & England: It was World War Two, and the effects upon
the system...population movements (' "Here come the bombs!" ') and the necessity
for fulfilling a need (health services & doctors, working within a War-time society.)

[This is my own thinking upon the matter~~my own words. The facts I'm reflecting
have been curled from my reading of this weeks New Yorker [Jan. 26,2009] & the very
enlightening, informative, article written by Arul Gawande: "Getting There from Here";
